What we collect
- Server logs (standard technical data). When anyone visits the site, the hosting server records the IP address, browser type, and which pages were requested. This is standard for virtually all websites. It is used only to keep the site secure, prevent abuse, and understand general traffic. Logs are kept for a limited period by the hosting provider.
- Cookies. Small files that the site stores in your browser to make it work properly. You can delete or block cookies at any time in your browser settings.
Why we use this data
- to operate and secure the website (protect against attacks and spam);
- to understand overall traffic and improve our articles;
- to respond to you, if you contact us directly by email.
We do not use your data for advertising profiling, and we never sell or rent personal data to anyone.
Children’s privacy
KidCoders is written for children and teens, so we hold ourselves to the strictest standard: we do not knowingly collect any personal information from children. There is no registration, no comment section and no contact form on the site.
Sharing data
We don’t share personal data with third parties, except:
- the hosting provider, which stores the site and its technical logs (data processor);
- authorities, only if the law strictly requires it.

Your rights (GDPR / LGPD)
Depending on where you live (e.g. European Union — GDPR, Brazil — LGPD), you have the right to access, correct or delete personal data, and to object to its processing. Since we collect almost nothing, there is usually almost nothing to request, but if you contact us by email, the message itself contains your email address, and we will delete it on request at any time.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS, and access to the server is restricted. No internet service can promise perfect security, but we collect so little data that there is very little to protect.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update the “last updated” date at the top. If a future change is significant (for example, if we ever add a newsletter or comments), we will describe it clearly in this page.
